About Resilience Therapy Boulder

Ila Anemone Zeeb

MA, LPC

I became a therapist because I firmly believe in the inherent dignity of all people, our resilience, and that no one should have to be alone in their pain. Everyone deserves support to live an authentic and meaningful life.

My professional experience has included facilitating a support group for incarcerated persons, working with survivors of trauma and intimate partner violence (including psychological abuse), supporting college students, working with clients in crisis stabilization and substance abuse treatment programs, and teaching about social and cultural considerations in psychotherapy.

I would not be where I am if it had not been for mentors throughout my life. I aim to pass on that gift in my work with clients and to ‘hold’ my clients’ stories and journeys with reverence.

I was raised internationally and became interested in psychology and personal growth as a teenager. In my leisure time, I enjoy spending time in nature, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Education

I once heard someone say that therapists must always stand at the edge of what they know. This is a fundamental principle in my work. I am consistently engaged in ongoing professional development and deeply committed to approaching my clients with genuine curiosity and an open heart rather than through the lens of a theory.
